The Canadian Drone National Qualifiers will take place at the Burnaby Sports Complex. Set against the natural beauty of the Rocky Mountains, the location will feature a Beer Garden and food trucks for attendees.
The Qualifiers will bring the best drone racers from the west coast and based on the points they accumulate over the 2017 season, the top 32 pilots will compete head to head at the Canadian Drone National Championships in our nation’s capital, Ottawa on October 13th and 14th. You don’t want to miss this show!
With over two years experience in drone racing event management, we have honed our presentation and course designs to be both exciting for the pilots as well as spectators. Since drone racing is three-dimensional, we will take full advantage of the large sports facilities while maintaining strong visibility.
Courses will be accented with LCD screens that are tuned to the pilots’ frequencies and the event will be televised live on FPV Canada’s Drone Culture Twitch.tv channel. Even if attendees can’t attend the event, they will be able to get highlights of the events, sponsors and exhibitor advertisements and most importantly real-time standings of the pilot’s ranking.
The Canadian Federation for Drone Racing (CFDR) and the International Drone Racing Association (IDRA) have partnered together to present two international competitions into Canada, one on the East coast and one on the West coast.
Pilots will race to gain points for the IDRA Challengers Cup competitions where they can have the opportunity to compete against the top pilots in the world.
